A word from our Headteacher...Mr.
Dale.
Hello and thank you for visiting our website. We very
much hope that you will enjoy looking at it and that it provides you with
the information you are seeking.
At East Preston Junior School we believe that enjoyment
should be at the heart of all we do, indeed our school motto is 'Enjoyment
and Excellence in all that we are and all that we do'. This is
underpinned by a commitment to ensuring that all children achieve their
full potential no matter what their starting points.
During their time in the school we will help the
children become life long learners who are able to appreciate the arts and
science, are literate and numerate. We will provide them with
opportunities for learning both within and beyond the school
gates. We will help them to be emotionally literate and
develop their self-esteem and a tolerance and understanding of
others. We shall equip them with the tools to access new and
existing technologies and ensure that they gain an understanding of
healthy lifestyles through high quality sporting provision and personal,
social, health and citizenship education.
Our dedicated and highly skilled staff team are
committed to working closely with children and parents to support and
develop each and every child and to celebrate their successes.
Our most recent Ofsted
report recognised the way the school has developed over time judging
the school to be good or outstanding in all the categories
inspected. This is a reflection on how children, staff,
governors and parents have worked together to make the school such a happy
and vibrant learning community.
The website itself and its contents are still developing
under the guidance of Mr John Galvin and Mrs Kim Turner, supported by
children and staff of our school. They would very much welcome
any feedback about the website.
